3 Repair activities, manipulator
3.4.6 Refitting of balancing device
Step
When performing the first test run after a service activity (repair, installation or maintenance),
it is vital that:
- all the service tools and other foreign objects are removed from the manipulator!
- all normal safety equipment is installed properly, e.g. TPU enabling device.
- all personnel is standing at a safe distance from the manipulator, i.e. out of its reach behind
any safety fences, etc.
- special attention is paid to the function of the part previously serviced.

Unload the balancing device with the press
tool.
12.
Lubricate the shaft with grease.
13.
Apply the shaft press tool to the lubricated-
shaft through the hole in the frame.
Fit the shaft using the shaft press tool and
the hydraulic pump.
14.
Refit the securing screw in to the shaft using
locking liquid.
15.
When assembling a new device:
Lubricate the bearing in the ear with grease
through the lubricating nipple, with a grease
pump.
Fill until excessive grease pierces between
the shaft and the sealing spacer.
16.
Restore the balancing device.
17.
Remove the locking screw (1) that secures
the lower arm to the frame.

shaft, the piston rod may be pressed
out more than necessary and then
pressed in when fitting the shaft.
