Express Test Tip Calibration

Agilent Nano Indenter G200 User's Guide

When performing indentation experiments for the purpose of acquiring
mechanical properties, one of the most important variables is that of
contact area. Inaccurate determination of contact area will adversely
affect the downstream calculation of mechanical properties such as
Young's modulus and hardness. The Express Test allows for the
determination of the area function and frame stiffness from the same test
within minutes (one indent per second!).
Express Test Tip Calibration Method is used to quickly determine the
indenter area function and frame compliance and is only available as an
Individual Method. In order to determine these characteristics, follow
these steps:
Launch NanoSuite.

At the User Login prompt, select the proper profile name and click

From the Open Method dialog box, select Express Test > Express
