To insert a new formula,
Choose Insert Formula.

This will open the Formula Builder dialog box, shown in

Select the type of formula that you want.

By clicking on a formula type, its description appears in the dialog box.
However, if you need more help with a formula type, click the Help
button to review the formula types.
