The new channel will be inserted into the list of channels in the Settings
pane.
The naming convention for software-channel names is alphanumeric
characters only with no spaces.
To insert a new software channel,
Choose Insert Software Channel.

This will open the Insert New SoftwareChannel dialog box, shown in
Figure D-15 on page D-15.
Enter a name in the Internal Name text box.
