Scratch Testing E
Maximum Scratch Load
The load applied to the surface at the end of the scratch segment.
Profiling Acquisition Rate
The data-acquisition rate during any profiling segment.
Starting Scratch Load
The load applied to the surface at the beginning of the scratch segment.
Cross Profile Length
The length of the profile across the residual impression of the scratch.
Perform Cross Profile
Controls whether the cross profile is performed. If this input is set to
zero, then the cross profile is not performed. If it is set to 1, then the
cross profile is performed.
Scratch Acquisition Rate
The data-acquisition rate during the scratch segment.
Profiling Velocity
The speed of the motion system with respect to the indenter during the
profiling segments.
Cross Profile Location
The cross profile is performed across the scratch at the position where
the applied load during the scratch reached this value.
For example, if the starting scratch load is 0 mN and the maximum
scratch load is 40 mN and the cross profile location is 10 mN, then cross
profile will section the scratch 1/4 of the total distance from the origin of
the scratch. So, if the total scratch length is 500 mm, then the cross
profile will section the scratch at 125 mm from the origin of the scratch.
Load Applied During Profiling
The force applied to the surface during profiling segments.
