Defaults: The default Telnet port number is 23.
Access: Enabled.
Examples: The following command changes the Telnet port number on a switch to 5000:
DWS-1008# set ip telnet 5000
success: change accepted.

set ip telnet server
Enables the Telnet server on a DWS-1008 switch.
Caution: If you disable the Telnet server, Telnet access to the switch is also disabled.
Syntax: set ip telnet server {enable | disable}
enable
Enables the Telnet server.
disable
Disables the Telnet server.
Defaults: The Telnet server is disabled by default.
Access: Enabled.
Usage: The maximum number of Telnet sessions supported on a DWS-1008 switch is eight. If
SSH is also enabled, the switch can have up to eight Telnet or SSH sessions, in any combination,
and one console session.
Examples: The following command enables the Telnet server on a DWS-1008 switch:
DWS-1008# set ip telnet server enable
success: change accepted.
