set system ip-address
Configures the system IP address. The system IP address determines the interface or source IP
address MSS uses for system tasks, including the following:
• Topology reporting for dual-homed access points
• Default source IP address used in unsolicited communications such as AAA
accounting reports and SNMP traps
Syntax: set system ip-address ip-addr
ip-addr
Defaults: None.
Access: Enabled.
Usage: You must use an address that is configured on one of the switch's VLANs.
To display the system IP address, use the show system command.
Examples: The following commands configure an IP interface on VLAN taupe and configure the
interface to be the system IP address:
DWS-1008# set interface taupe ip 10.10.20.20/24
success: set ip address 10.10.20.20 netmask 255.255.255.0 on vlan taupe
DWS-1008# set system ip-address 10.10.20.20
success: change accepted.
