IP Unicast Commands

show ipconfig

show ipconfig {vlan <vlan-name>} {detail}
Description
Displays the IP configuration for the given VLAN.
Syntax Description
vlan
Specifies that IP configuration is to be displayed for a selected VLAN. If this optional parameter is
not entered, then global IP configuration information is displayed.
vlan-name
Specifies the name of the VLAN for which the IP configuration is to be displayed.
detail
Specifies that IP configuration is to be displayed in detail format.
Default
If no VLAN information is specified, then global IP configuration is displayed by default. Otherwise,
information for specific VLAN(s) will be displayed.
Usage Guidelines
This command displays the IP configuration for a given VLAN. If no VLAN information is specified,
then global IP configuration is displayed by default. Otherwise, information for specific VLAN(s) will
be displayed. Global IP configuration information includes:
• IP address/netmask/etc.
• IP forwarding information / IP multicast forwarding information
• BOOTP configuration
• VLAN name and VLANID
• ICMP configuration (global)
• IGMP configuration (global)
• IRDP configuration (global)
Using the
option of his command displays secondary IP addresses, which are displayed in the
detail
line following the primary IP address output.
Example
The following example shows the secondary IP address configuration for the VLAN named vlantest1:
show ipconfig vlantest1
Following is sample output from this command:
inet: 51.0.0.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 51.0.0.255
Secondary: inet 53.0.0.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 53.0.0.255
The following example shows global output for the
show ipconfig
1756
command:
show ipconfig
