6.14.5.6 Operation of Key Presses

The following table describes the operation of each menu key and the keys on the NC keyboard when pressed.

6.14.5.7 Saving to External Projects

Normal operation
 To save to new projects
(1) Press the [PATH] menu key to move the focus to the path input field. Enter the save destination for the project data.
This operation is not necessary if the save destination does not need to be changed.
(2) Press the [PROJECT NAME] menu key to move the focus to the project name input field. Enter the name for the project
data.
(3) Press the [TITLE] menu key to move the focus to the title input field. Enter the title for the project data.
Titles are optional.
(4) Pressing the [SELECT] menu key creates the project data according to the specified name and tile at the specified path
and then stores the PLC data selected at the "NC->EXT." screen.
When operation mode of a project is GX Works2, if the new project has the same name with the folder in the selected
path, the project cannot be saved. Input a project name to display the file list in the folder of the same name.
When operation mode of a project is GX Works2, only projects in one file format can be listed and selected.
A progress bar is displayed indicating the status of writing PLC data. (Refer to "6.14.10 Progress Screen" for display at GX
Works2)

(5) After the selected PLC data has been written, the complete message is displayed.
Pressing the [OK] menu key closes the complete message and also ends the save external project screen.

This selects the list.

This selects the title input field.
