5.13 Corrective Actions to Resolve Errors
Status Message
Cannot communicate with the specified
CPU or station. Execute again after
checking the connections with the PLC.
For Ethernet connection, please check
the following settings.
8301
 Port/IP address setting
 Setting number for MELSOFT con-
nections in open setting of target mod-
ule
 IP address duplication on network
Cannot communicate with the specified
CPU or station. The following are the
possible causes.
 Communication time over (Cable dis-
connected or the specified transmis-
sion speed is not supported)
 Mismatch between PLC types for proj-
ect and connected station
 RESET of PLC
Please execute it again after closing
the window.
 Monitoring condition function error
840b (Another function has been executed,
or unsupported route has been used)
 Setting number for MELSOFT con-
nections in open setting of target mod-
ule
 Wrong parameter IP address setting
or open setting
 Incorrect routing parameter setting
during connecting CC IE Field Ether-
net via adaptor
 Ethernet connection to the unsupport-
ed GOT
 Please check the GOT version.
Cause
There was no response from the NC
connected with Ethernet.
There is no response from the NC.
 The CNC has not started properly.
 The connection channel of the CNC
side serial port is different.
 The serial cable outside the specifica-
tions is used for signal connection.
 An incorrect Ethernet address is set
on the NC side

Check the following:
 CNC status
 Cable connection
 Ethernet address setting
 Inhibiting GX Developer/GX works2
connection setting
Check the following.
 CNC status
 Cable connection
 Bit selection: GPP communication val-

 Set the Ethernet address
