Battery Backup
The SV8300 system has battery backup functions for system backup and for
memory backup.
6.7.1
System Backup (Optional)
During a power failure, the system is backed up using a rechargeable
battery. This battery backup supports all system operations for
approximately 30 minutes.
6.7.2
Memory Backup
The CPU Blade battery retains the Clock/Calender and Last Number
redial (LNR) buffers for each station when the CPU Blade encounters
a power loss. With a fully charged battery, the settings are retained for
about three years. The System Programmed memory (Customer
Database) is stored in non-volatile Memory and can be erased only by
a First Initialization. After power is restored, the system Blade returns
to normal operation.
