Engine shut-off switch continuity:

3. Connect the engine shut-off switch con-
nector and ground terminal.

1. Disconnect the 10-pin main wiring har-
ness coupler.
2. Turn the engine start switch to "ON," and
then check the engine shut-off switch for
continuity between the terminals a and
b.

3. Turn the engine start switch to "OFF."
4. Connect the 10-pin main wiring harness
coupler.

Checking the fuse (electric starter
model)
1. Check the fuse for continuity.
TIP:
For the location of the fuse, see "Electrical
component and wiring harness routing" (5-1).
Checking the starter relay (electric
starter model)
1. Disconnect the starter relay connector
a.
2. Push the engine start button, and then
measure the starter relay 1 input volt-
age. (Tiller handle model)
Turn the engine start switch to start, and
then measure the starter relay 1 input
voltage. (Remote control model)
