Removing the upper case

1. Drain the remaining engine oil.
2. Remove the lower mount housings 1,
and then remove the rubber dampers 2
and 3.
3. Remove the ground lead 4.

4. Remove the self-locking nuts 5 and
washers 6, and then remove the upper
case assembly 7.

5. Remove the bolts 8, upper mount 9,
plate 0, and bolts A.

Installing the upper case

1. Install the plate 1 and bolts 2 to the
upper mount 3, and then install the
upper mount assembly.
2. Tighten the bolts 4 to the specified
torque.

Upper mount bolt 4:
26 N·m (2.6 kgf·m, 19.2 ft·lb)
3. Install the upper case assembly 5 to the
bracket assembly 6.
4. Install the washers 7, and then tighten
the self-locking nuts 8 to the specified
torque.
5. Connect the ground lead 9 to the
bracket assembly, and then tighten the
grease nipple 0 to the specified torque.
