Removing the exhaust cover

1. Remove the exhaust cover plugs 1 and
2, exhaust cover anode 3, and gaskets
4 and 5.

2. Remove the thermostat cover 6, gasket
7, thermostat 8, exhaust cover 9, and
gasket 0.

Removing the thermo sensor

1. Remove the thermo sensor 1 and gas-
ket 2.

Removing the oil pressure switch

1. Remove the oil pressure switch 1.

Removing the oil filter

1. Remove the oil filter 1.

Oil filter wrench 2: 90890-01426
2. Remove the oil filter union bolt 3.

Checking the exhaust cover

1. Check the exhaust cover. Replace if
cracked or corroded.

Checking the exhaust cover anode

1. Check the anode. Replace if eroded.
Clean if there is grease, oil, or scales.
NOTICE: Do not apply grease, oil, or
paint to the anode.
