Assembling the tiller handle

1. Install the PTT switch 1, and then
tighten the screws 2 and 3 to the speci-
fied torque (PTT model).
2. Install the engine shut-off switch 4, and
then tighten the nut a to the specified
torque.

PTT switch screw 2:
4 N·m (0.4 kgf·m, 3.0 ft·lb)
PTT switch bracket screw 3:
4 N·m (0.4 kgf·m, 3.0 ft·lb)
Engine shut-off switch nut a:
2.5 N·m (0.25 kgf·m, 1.84 ft·lb)
3. Install the friction piece 5 to the throttle
rod 6, and then install the throttle rod 6.
4. Install the plate 7.

5. Route the throttle cables 8, engine shut-
off switch lead b, and PTT switch lead
c (PTT model) through the protector 9.

TIP:
Insert the end d of the protector 9 into the
steering bracket 0.
6. Connect the throttle cables 8.

7. Install the grommet A so that the flange
e is facing outward.
