10 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7.4 ft·lb)
19. Repeat steps 7–12 to measure the
reverse gear backlash.
20. Check that the reverse gear backlash
average is within specification.
Reverse gear backlash:
0.92–1.65 mm (0.0362–0.0650 in)
TIP:
Adjust the shim thicknesses if the reverse
gear backlash is out of specification.
21. Remove the special service tools and
tape, and then install the outer plate car-
tridge and water pump assembly. See
"Installing the water pump" (8-20).
