3. Install the spring 9, a new O-ring 0, and
the pilot screw A, turn the pilot screw in
until it is lightly seated, and then turn it
out the specified number of turns.

Pilot screw setting:
2 ± 1/2 turns out (for Europe)
2 3/4 ± 1/2 turns out (for Oceania)

Installing the carburetor

Do not reuse a gasket or O-ring, always
replace it with a new one.
1. Install a new gasket 1 and the intake
manifold 2, and then install a new gas-
ket 3, the joint 4, a new gasket 5, the
carburetor 6, a new O-ring 7, and the
intake silencer 8.
2. Connect the Prim Start coupler a.
3. Connect the throttle link rod 9.

TIP:
To adjust the throttle link rod, see "Adjusting
the throttle link rod" (6-17) (tiller handle
model) or "Adjusting the throttle link rod" (6-
20) (remote control model).
4. Connect the blowby hose 0 and fuel
hose A.
