Sheave drum screw 9:
3.4 N·m (0.34 kgf·m, 2.51 ft·lb)
TIP:
• Tie a knot in both ends a and b of the
starter rope 0.
• Make sure to leave 12.0–20.0 mm (0.47–
0.79 in) c at the end b of the starter rope
0.
4. Wind the starter rope 0 twice around the
sheave drum B counterclockwise.

TIP:
After winding the starter rope 0 around the
sheave drum B, fit the starter rope into the
slot d.

5. Install the spiral spring C. WARNING!
The spiral spring can pop out. Cover
the spiral spring with rags when
installing it.

Hook the end e of the spiral spring C onto
the protrusion f on the manual starter cover

6. Install the sheave drum B, and then turn
it to fit the end g of the spiral spring C
into the slot h.
7. Install drive pawl spring 1 E and the
drive plate F, and then tighten the screw
G to the specified torque.
