4. Install the crankpin bearings 4 into the
connecting rod a and connecting rod
cap k.

TIP:
• Install the crankpin bearings in the original
positions.
• Fit the protrusions m on the crankpin bear-
ings into the slots n in the connecting rod
a and connecting rod cap k.
5. Install the piston with the "UP" mark on
the piston crown facing towards the fly-
wheel magnet.

6. Install the crankshaft journal bearings 6.

TIP:
Install the crankshaft journal bearings 6 in
the original positions.
7. Install the balancer rod 7 and new oil
seals 8 and 9 onto the crankshaft 0,
and then install the crankshaft.

TIP:
• Make sure to install the oil seals into the
cylinder block so that the oil seals are
securely seated at the stopped area.
• Make sure that the protrusion p on the bal-
ancer rod 7 face towards the flywheel
magnet end of the crankshaft.
8. Install the connecting rod caps k to the
connecting rods, and then tighten the
connecting rod bolts A to the specified
torques in 2 stages.
