TIP:
• When measuring the output peak voltage
under the cranking condition, remove the
clip from the engine shut-off switch to pre-
vent the engine from starting.
• When pulling the starter handle to crank the
engine, the voltage values may vary
depending on the speed at which the
starter handle is pulled. (Manual starter
model)
3. Disconnect the special service tool cou-
pler b.
4. Measure the Prime Start resistance.
Prime Start resistance (reference data):
Blue (L)–Blue (L)
20 Ω
5. Remove the special service tool 1, and
then connect the Prime Start coupler.

1. Disconnect the engine start button con-
nectors a and b.
2. Measure the engine start button 1 input
voltage between the connector a and
the ground.

3. Check the engine start button 1 for con-
tinuity between the engine start button
