Checking the camshaft

1. Measure the cam lobe height a and
width b.

30.839–30.939 mm (1.2141–1.2181 in)
Exhaust:
30.937–31.037 mm (1.2180–1.2219 in)
Cam lobe width b:
Intake and exhaust:
25.950–26.050 mm (1.0217–1.0256 in)
2. Measure the camshaft runout.

3. Measure the camshaft journal diameters
c and d, and the cylinder head journal
inside diameters e.
Camshaft journal diameter c:
36.925–36.945 mm (1.4537–1.4545 in)
Camshaft journal diameter d:
36.935–36.955 mm (1.4541–1.4549 in)
Cylinder head journal inside diameter e:
37.000–37.025 mm (1.4567–1.4577 in)
4. Check the automatic decompression
