TIP:
• When routing the engine shut-off switch
lead b and PTT switch lead c (PTT
model), make sure that it is not pinched by
the plate 7 and that there is no slack in the
lead in the area f.
• Make sure that the ends g of the outer
throttle cables are fitted securely into the
grommet A.
8. Install the bushing B, washers C, and
spring D.

9. Install the throttle grip E, and then
tighten the screw F to the specified
torque.
Throttle grip screw F:
3.5 N·m (0.35 kgf·m, 2.58 ft·lb)

10. Install the throttle friction adjuster G, and
then install a new cotter pin H.

11. Install the bushing I, washers J, wave
washers K, and tiller handle assembly

12. Install the cover M.

13. Install the holder N, shift lever O, and
shift link rod P.
14. Install the grommet Q and cover R.

Adjusting the throttle cable (tiller
handle model)
After adjusting the throttle cables, make sure
that there is no slack in the throttle cables in
the bottom cowling.
1. Loosen the locknuts 1 and 2, and then
turn the adjusting nuts 3 and 4 to
slacken the throttle cables 5 and 6.
