Thermo sensor input voltage
(reference data):
Black/Yellow (B/Y)–Black (B)
4.75–5.25 V
4. Stop the engine.
5. Remove the special service tool 1, and
then remove the thermo sensor 2.
6. Connect the special service tool 1, and
then place the thermo sensor 2 in a con-
tainer of water and slowly heat the water.

7. Measure the thermo sensor resistance at
the specified water temperatures.

(reference data):
0.372 kΩ at 75 °C (167 °F)
8. Remove the special service tool 1,
install the thermo sensor 2, and then
connect the thermo sensor coupler.
9. Install the manual starter and driven
sprocket cover. See "Installing the man-
ual
starter"

Checking the oil pressure switch

1. Disconnect the oil pressure switch con-
nector a.

2. Start the engine, and then measure the
oil pressure switch 1 input voltage.

Pink (P)–Ground
12.0 V (battery voltage)
3. Stop the engine.
4. Remove the oil pressure switch 1.
5. Connect the special service tool 2 to the
oil pressure switch.
6. Apply positive pressure to the oil pres-
sure switch 1 slowly, and then check
that continuity changes to no continuity in
the range of the working pressure.
Replace the oil pressure switch if the
continuity does not change to no continu-
ity in the working pressure range.
