Removing the steering arm

1. Remove the circlip 1, and then remove
the steering yoke 2 by striking it using a
copper hammer.

2. Remove the rubber seal 3.
3. Remove the steering arm 4, and then
remove the washer 5, bushing 6, O-
ring 7, bushing 8, and friction piece 9.
4. Remove the bushing 0, O-ring A, and
bushing B.

Installing the steering arm

Do not reuse an O-ring or rubber seal,
always replace it with a new one.
1. Install the friction piece 1, the bushing
2, a new O-ring 3, the bushing 4, and
the washer 5, and then install the steer-
ing arm 6.
2. Install the bushing 7, a new O-ring 8,
and the bushing 9.

3. Install a new rubber seal 0, and then
tighten the bolt A to the specified torque.

Friction piece bolt A:
3.9 N·m (0.39 kgf·m, 2.88 ft·lb)
4. Install the steering yoke B so that steer-
ing arm 6 and steering yoke B are both
facing in the same direction (a and b
are aligned).
