Starter relay input voltage (reference data):
Brown (Br)–Ground
12.0 V (battery voltage)
3. Disconnect the starter relay ground lead
b, and then remove the starter relay.
NOTICE: Always disconnect the nega-
tive battery terminal before discon-
necting the starter relay terminals.
4. Connect the positive battery lead to the
starter relay connector a, connect the
negative battery lead to the starter relay
ground lead terminal b, and then check
for continuity between the starter relay
terminals c and d.

5. Install the starter relay, and then connect
the negative battery cable, starter relay
connector, and starter relay ground lead.

Before checking the neutral switch, make
sure to check the engine start button.
1. Disconnect the start button connector a
and neutral switch connector b.
2. Push the engine start button 1, and then
measure the neutral switch 2 input volt-
age.

3. Check the neutral switch 2 for continuity
between the neutral switch connectors b
and c. Replace if out of specification.
