Disassembling the cylinder block

1. Remove the crankcase cover 1 and
gasket 2.

4. Remove the connecting rod caps a, and
then remove the crankpin bearings 5,
connecting rods, and piston assemblies

TIP:
• To prevent interchanging the pistons, con-
necting rods, and connecting rod caps,
mark each with an identification number b
of the corresponding cylinder.
• Make sure to keep the parts in the order as
they were removed.
5. Remove the crankshaft 7, crankshaft
journal bearings 8, oil seals 9 and 0,
and balancer rod A.
