Laser Power

The Laser Power option is used to calibrate the standard for each
color. Laser Power adjusts the strength of the laser beam for each
toner color. The stronger the beam, the more toner is drawn to the
image.
Caution:
Do not make the Laser Power menu adjustment without
first following the steps in "Colour Density Calibration
and Verification" in chapter 6. Otherwise, all color
shades will be not be optimal.
Set this power through the UTILITY: LASER POWER
configuration menu. Submenus include Cyan Adjust, Magenta
Adjust, Yellow Adjust, and Black Adjust which each have options
from 1 (low) to 10 (high). The factory default for all colors is 6.

Lines Per Inch (LPI)

Lines per inch settings allow you to control the number of color
levels and enhance the resolution quality of your printed images.
Usually you set lines per inch through your application or you can
use the LPI option in Command Center's Linearization program.
However, when LPI is not a software option, you can use the front
panel GRAPHICS: LPI configuration menu. Line screen options
range from 5 to 210 lines per inch.
The setting for this menu depends on the chosen printing resolution
The default for 600 dpi resolution printing is 53 lpi; the default for
1200 dpi is 133 lpi.

Maintenance (Clearing Messages)

When the printer's OPC belt cartridge or cleaning roller needs
replacing, you receive an appropriate engine service condition status
message in the front panel. After you replace the indicated part, you
must clear this condition.
