Colors should fall within the range of rows 4 through 7 when
verifying colour density. For optimal color matching when using
default profiles and XANTÉ TrueColour, colors should fall within
rows 5 and 6.
To verify color density
1.
Place the XANTÉ Colour ScreenWriter Calibration Target
(fig. 6.13) over the black row and identify the black patch that
most closely matches the black on the target.
2.
Repeat the process in step one with each of the other three
colors (cyan, magenta, and yellow). If colors do not fall within
rows 4 through 7, you may wish to perform the Colour Density
Calibration and Verification again.

Colour Mode

The Colour Mode menu, GRAPHICS: COLOUR MODE, allows you
to select either Full Color or Monochrome printing. Chapter 8,
"Color Printing" has more details on color printing.
A Colour mode menu also is available through your printer's PPD.
Options in this menu include Printer Default (which uses the
printer's current setting), Full Colour, or Monochrome printing.

Colour Model

The Colour Model feature allows you to select the mode in which
color is interpreted by the printer. Set this option through your
application Print dialog box.
Options are TrueColour (the factory default), Profile Proofing, and
Direct. TrueColour uses the printer source selected in the
GRAPHICS: COLOUR PROFILE: SOURCE front panel menu
(sRGB). Profile printing uses the ICC profile you select. Direct turns
off any CMM (Color Management Module).
