Internal IDE Hard Drive Upgrade
The internal hard drive upgrade provides extra space to store
downloaded fonts and allows you to implement the AccelaFont
feature on your printer. See "Printer Options" earlier in this chapter
to order the upgrade. See "AccelaFont" in chapter 6.
The IDE hard drive upgrade can be factory or user installed.
Installation instructions are included with the upgrade.
Replacing the Controller Board Panel
After installing the upgrade(s), replace the controller board panel.
1.
Hold the controller board by its access panel and align the
board with its opening in the printer (fig. 10.18).
2.
Slide the board straight into the printer until it seats firmly and
the thumbscrews on the access panel align with the holes on
the printer (fig. 10.18).
3.
Tighten the thumbscrews (fig. 10.17) to secure the panel to the
printer.
4.
Reconnect all interface cables and the power cable to the
printer and the AC power supply.
