copying the appropriate PPD file into the Aldus PPD folder in the
System Folder.
PageMaker 5.0: After you install the PPD file for your PageMaker
version, use the following procedure to select the desired PPD file.
1.
Open your PageMaker document.
2.
Choose File: Print. The Print dialog box appears with a Type
option in the top half of the window.
3.
Select the Type option box and hold the mouse button down. A
pop-up menu appears listing available PPD files.
4.
Choose your printer's PPD. The pop-up menu disappears and
the selected file appears in the Type box.
5.
Make any other selections you want in the Print dialog box.
Note: PageMaker 5.0 does not give you access to many of
the printer's features, such as media weight or
PostScript 3 options like smooth shading.
6.
Click Print to send the job to the printer.
PageMaker 6.0 and 6.5: To select the PPD file
1.
Crate or open your PageMaker document.
2.
Choose File: Print. The Print dialog box appears with a PPD
option in the top half of the window.
3.
Select the PPD option box and hold the mouse button down. A
pop-up menu appears listing available PPD files.
4.
Choose your printer's PPD. The pop-up menu disappears and
the selected file appears in the PPD box.
5.
Click Features. The Printer Features window appears.
6.
Make sure the Installed Memory, Spooler Enabled, Optional
Lower Tray, and TraySwitch settings match your setup. (See
