QuarkXPress
Special printer description files to use with QuarkXPress versions
prior to 4.0 (QuarkXPress versions 4.0 and up use your printer's
basic PPD) are available on XANTÉ's web site, www.xante.com and
from XANTÉ Technical Support (see "Technical Support" in
chapter 11). Install the file required for the program's version and
your system environment.
QuarkXPress (PC)
•
QuarkXPress versions 3.X and earlier require a XANTÉ PDF
(printer description file) in addition to the PPD file. We
recommend using this PDF to obtain the best quality from your
XANTÉ printer.

For the XANTÉ Colour ScreenWriter printer on a PC with
QuarkXPress, use the XANTÉ Utilities installation program to
load the PPD for your printer and the XANTÉ Colour
ScreenWriter pdf, or copy it from the CD-ROM's PDFs folder
into your system's QuarkXPress folder.
See "XANTÉ Utilities Installer" in chapter 4 for details about
installing these files.
QuarkXPress 3.X Page Setup (PC)
1.
Create or open your document. Then, select File: Printer Setup.
The Printer Setup window appears.
2.
Select Use PDF For: and hold down the shift key. A list of
printers appears.
3.
Select the PDF for your printer. Then, click OK.
4.
Select File: Print. The Print dialog box appears.
5.
Set other options as desired. Then, click OK to print.
