Move the cassette's media guides away from the adapter's base
in order to release it.

Lift the adapter straight up and out to remove it (fig. 7.5).

Reinstall the paper cassette in the printer.
Guidelines for Printing Envelopes
Use the envelope adapter with the standard cassette and follow
procedures in "Paper Cassette" in chapter 2 and these guidelines
when printing envelopes.
•
Make sure envelopes meet the requirements in "Guidelines for
Selecting and Storing Media" earlier in this chapter.
•
Make sure that when you print on DL or Com 10 stock that you
select the appropriate size in the front panel Envelope menu.
•
Format envelopes in your application and run a plain paper test
print to check layout and alignment before running on more
expensive envelopes.
•
Do not use gummed envelopes or envelopes with adhesive tape.
