Set page margins in your applications to fit within the imageable
areas. If you try to print outside the imageable area, many
applications issue a warning message, giving you an opportunity to
make changes; some applications, however, clip the image and print
the page.

Media Types

Your printer supports clear and matte film, coated stock, cover stock,
heat transfer media, labels, plain paper, and transparencies with weights
from 16 - 43 lb bond (60 - 157 g/m
various media types are covered later in this chapter.
Media used in your printer should meet the guidelines for selecting and
storing media covered earlier in this chapter. To save on media costs,
test a sample of new media before buying in quantity. Run a test
print on plain paper to check layout and alignment before using more
expensive stock.
XANTÉ preset media defaults are the recommended settings for media.
These settings should be used unless you run into a problem. Select the
media under the front panel MEDIA: MEDIA TYPE configuration
menu. For menu details, see chapter 6, "Configuration."
XANTÉ recommends that you use Myriad 2 professional printing
media which has been tested with the XANTÉ Colour ScreenWriter
printers. XANTÉ guarantees optimized output from all Myriad 2 media.
