Plug the terminating resistors into the open sockets in the
connector boxes (fig. 2.26).
Note: Terminate open sockets (one on each end of your
LocalTalk network) with terminators supplied with
your LocalTalk connectors (fig. 2.26). Closing open
sockets helps speed data transmission and ensure the
printer is available in the Chooser.

Connecting to the Parallel Port

Use a bidirectional parallel cable to connect your PC and printer via
the parallel port (fig. 2.27). The cable's printer end has a 36-pin male
connector; the computer end has a 25-pin male connector.

Turn off your PC.

Plug the cable's 36-pin connector into the printer's parallel
port and the 25-pin connector into the computer's parallel port
(fig. 2.27).
