Measure individual calibration page patches using your
densitometer (see your densitometer's documentation for
details).

Enter the number of the patch whose densitometer
measurement most closely matches the corresponding
percentage to the right of the Box # field.
For example, when you are reading for 10%, if box number 7
measures at 10%, enter 7 under Box # in the 10% line.
Note: If the desired percentage falls between two boxes,
always enter the number of the higher box (round up).

Click Linearize Black (or the color you are linearizing). The
selected color is calibrated (linearized) and you proceed to the
next color, or you return to the Linearization window.
Note: If you want to verify linearization, click Verify
Calibration (fig. 4.28) before you close the
Linearization window. When the Verification page
prints (fig. 4.30), measure its patches using your
densitometer. Patch measurements should match or
just be slightly higher than the desired percentage. The
page's colors run from 10% at the top to 100% at the
bottom for each color row. If measurement are out of
range, repeat the linearization process.
