To adjust and check color density.
1.
Load 2 sheets of XANTÉ Colour Density Calibration paper in
the printer's standard paper cassette.
Note: When you color calibrate your printer, always use
XANTÉ Colour Density Calibration paper for the most
accurate color calibration. Calibration is not
guaranteed when other media is used.
2.
Select Setup: Utility: Utility Pages: Target Calibrate from the
printer's front panel. A colour density calibration page prints
(fig. 8.4).
3.
Place the calibration page on a flat surface in a well lit area;
then, from arm's length (approximately 30" or 762 mm)
compare the color on the calibration page to the calibration
target provided with your printer.
a.
Align the target's black cutout over the top black patch
in the black column on the calibration page.
b.
Slide the target down the black column and determine
which patch most closely matches the black on the
target.
c.
Mark the selected patch through the target's cutout, or
make a note of the patch number.
d.
Repeat steps 3a through 3c for cyan, magenta, and
yellow.
4.
Select Setup: Utility: Laser Power: Black Adjust from the
printer's front panel.
5.
Use the Menu and Test (arrow) keys to select the appropriate
patch number. Then, press the Enter key.
6.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 to set the cyan, magenta, and yellow
adjust options.
