Locate the revised Setip.ps file and download it to the printer.

Choose File: Quit. Adobe Downloader closes. Then, restart the printer to make
the new TCP/IP address take effect.

Using the Setip.ps File (PC)

In a PC environment, use the DOS copy command to download the Setip.ps file to
your printer.
1.
Open the Setip.ps file in a text editor, such as WordPad.
2.
Change the IP address in parentheses to your printer's IP address and save the
file. Then, close WordPad.
3.
Type the following DOS command, substituting a different port name if
necessary.
4.
Restart the printer to make the change take effect.
Ping the printer using DOS Ping to verify the IP address. If you do not get full replies,
verify that you have the correct IP address configured for your printer.

Configure the Printer Setup on the Network

There are several UNIX operating systems, including System V (SYSV), Berkeley
Standard Distribution (BSD), and Solaris. Each system handles line printer modes
differently. Your System Supervisor must configure the print queue, communications,
and spool settings for your specific network environment.

Configuring a Remote Printer Running in LPR Mode

Before using this procedure, TCP/IP should already be loaded and configured on your
NetWare server. If not, consult your NetWare documentation for instructions.
1.
Select Create from the Object menu. The New Object dialog box appears.
2.
Select NDPS printer. The Create NDPS printer dialog box opens.
3.
Type the name that you want in the Printer Name field.
4.
Select Create a New Printer at the Printer Agent Source Field; then, click Create.
