Advanced Configuration of the XT Series
Note:
When using XT Series endpoints as primary or secondary MCUs, the following
limitations apply:
• All participants at secondary and primary nodes can see the same Continuous
Presence video (CP). This requires two encoders on each secondary MCU; One to
propagate received CP to the secondary endpoints and one to send the secondary
contribution for CP to the primary MCU. The secondary endpoints display the CP
from the primary endpoints locally and send their CP status to all, except the
primary endpoints.
• Secondary MCUs implemented by XT Series endpoints cannot be cascaded.
Primary cascading calls will be rejected by the XT Series, while secondary
cascading can have severe limitations on visualized participant names.
• The maximum of 65 participants in the meeting can only be supported when using
only the XT Series with embedded MCUs (one on the primary MCU plus 1+7 for
each secondary MCU connected to the primary at first level).
• This functionality is not supported in releases before 9.1.
• The secondary MCU locally displays 480p from the primary MCU as a maximum
and sends 480p to its endpoints.
• When the XT Series is participating in a meeting:
- Additional incoming calls are rejected.
