Operation procedure of the inching operation

The inching operation is performed in the following procedure.
STEP 1
Preparation
STEP 2
STEP 3
STEP 4
Start inching
operation
Monitor inching
STEP 5
operation
STEP 6
Stop inching
operation
• Mechanical elements such as limit switches are considered as already installed.
• Setting parameters is the common operation for all controls using the positioning module.
Configure parameters
( [Pr.1] to [Pr.31] )
Create a program that configures parameter
"[Cd.16] Inching movement" (control data configuration).
Create a program that turns on the JOG start signal
using the inching start signal command.
Load the program created in STEP 1 and STEP 2 into
the CPU unit.
Turn on the JOG start signal for the desired axis.
Monitor the inching operation status.
Turn off the active JOG start signal.
End of control
There are two different methods to accomplish this.
Method 1
: Use GX Works3 to directly configure
the positioning module (write).
Method 2
: Use a program (TO commands) from
the CPU module to configure the
positioning module (write).
Turn on the JOG start signal

Use GX Works3 to monitor.
The program created in STEP 2 performs
the specified inching movement and then
stops the inching operation.
