Implementation Procedure for Advanced
Positioning Control
The advanced positioning control is performed using the following procedure.

STEP 4
STEP 5
Control start

• Five sets of block start data (50 points) and condition data (10 items) corresponding to No. 7000 to 7004 are
set using the program.
• Five sets of data from 7000 to 7004 can also be set using GX Works3. If GX Works3 is used to set block
start data and condition data corresponding to 7000 to 7004 and to write the data to the positioning module,
7000 to 7004 can be set in [Cd.3] Positioning start No. in STEP 4.

10.2 Implementation Procedure for Advanced Positioning Control

Implement "major positioning control" settings
Set block start data according to the controls
 Required data
( [Da.11] to [Da.14]
)
Set "conditions data"
 Required data
(
[Da.15]
to
[Da.19]
)
Create programs to set "7000*" in "[Cd.3]
Positioning start No." (Control data setting)
Set "Point number of the program start data to be
started" (1 to 50) in "[Cd.4] Positioning start point
No."
Create programs to turn ON the "positioning start
signal" using positioning start commands
Write the program created in STEP 4 to the CPU
module
Turn ON the "positioning start command"
for the axis you want to start
Monitor high level positioning control
Stops when control ends
Control end
"High-level positioning control" is control that
uses the specified conditions to implement
the controls set in the positioning data
("major positioning control"), so first make
preparations to enable implementation of
the "major positioning control".
"Block start data" sets 50 data from 1 to
50 points.
Set the "conditions data" to be specified
using "block start data". A maximum of
10 conditions data can be set
Specify "7000" to identify the existence of
high-level positioning controls in which the
positioning module used "block start data"
Create programs to implement
"high-level positioning control".
Same as "major positioning control" start
Monitor using GX Works3
Same as "major positioning control" stop
