Unseat but do not remove the NT6X69 Message Interface card and the
NT6X80 PCM Loss Addition card using the common unseating a card
procedure in this document.
Power down the unit by setting the ON/OFF switch on the power converter
faceplate slots 25 through 27 to the OFF position.
Both the converter FAIL LED and FRAME FAIL lamps on the frame
supervisory panel (FSP) turn ON. An audible alarm may sound.
If an alarm does sound, silence it by typing
>SIL
and pressing the Enter key.
Perform the common replacing a card procedure in this document.
Power up the power converter in the inactive SMA unit as follows:
a
Ensure the power converter (NT2X70) is inserted. A major audible alarm
may sound. This alarm is silenced when power is restored to the
converter.
b
Set the power switch on the power converter faceplate to the ON position.
Press the RESET button while setting the circuit breaker to the ON position.
Both the converter FAIL LED and FRAME FAIL lamps on the FSP turn OFF.
Reseat the NT6X69 Message Interface card and the NT6X80 PCM Loss
Addition card using the common reseating a card procedure in this document.
Use the following information to determine the next step.
