Remove the sign from the active SMS-R unit.

Send any faulty cards for repair according to local procedure.

Record the following items in office records in accordance with local policy:
the date the card was replaced
the serial number of the card
the symptoms that prompted replacement of the card
Go to step 27.

Return to Alarm Clearing Procedures section of this manual or to the
procedure that directed you to this procedure. At the point where a faulty card
list was produced, identify the next faulty card on the list and go to the
appropriate card replacement procedure for that card in this manual.

Obtain further assistance in replacing this card by contacting personnel
responsible for a higher level of support.

You have successfully completed this procedure. Return to the maintenance
procedure that directed you to this card replacement procedure and continue
as directed.

For further assistance with switch of activity, contact the personnel
responsible for the next level of support.
Note: If the system recommends using the SWACT command with the
FORCE option, consult office personnel to determine if use of the FORCE
option is advisable.
