SmarTest Software Concept
Overview
The SmarTest software lets you create and run any device tests
you wish to perform with the Agilent 93000 SOC Series. Creation
and execution of individual tests for device characterization as
well as complete production test programs are equally supported.
In general, the creation of a test can be divided in the generation
of the test setup data, and the definition of the test and how it
gets executed.
All the steps of test creation and test execution are performed
with the various tools of SmarTest. In addition, there are a
number of tools to display and analyze test results.
All SmarTest tools, except for the special tools for mixed-signal
test, have been covered in the basic Agilent 93000 SOC Series User
Training, Part 1 and Part 2.
Many of the not mixed-signal specific SmarTest tools will also be
used to set up parts of a mixed-signal test, and to run the test.
The focus here is to learn how to use the mixed-signal specific
tools.
SmarTest defines a certain structure of setup data and when it is
used during a test, and of the overall flow of the test.
Test program, test flow, test suite and testfunction (or test method,
or user procedure) are the main structural elements of the test
execution flow.
The following diagram illustrates the setup data and test execution
structure of SmarTest.
