Trigger Input in MCA
An AWG or digitizer in each unit is triggered by a trigger signal
from the trigger input pin. For each unit, one of the following pins
can be configured as the trigger input pin of the unit.
CT1 pin (common trigger)

CT2 pin (common trigger), which is the default setting
•
XX+ pin of the unit (unit trigger)

A MCA module has two common trigger pins: CT1 and CT2, which
are the trigger inputs that are distributed to all or any units on the
module (via the module internal trigger bus). For the pin

A trigger from a common trigger pin (CT1 or CT2) is distributed to
multiple units in the same timing.
For example, you can use CT1 for the source units (AWGs), and
CT2 for the measure units (digitizers), or vice versa: the AWGs or
digitizers receive the trigger signal in the same timing. For each
common trigger pin, a mixture of some source units and measure
units can also be assigned: the AWGs and digitizers can be
triggered simultaneously.
