Lesson 2 – Waveform Digitizer Setup with the Analog Setup Tool
With the Analog Setup Tool, you create analog sets that contain all
•
setup information for the analog modules.
An analog set includes the complete hardware sequencer and
•
clock domain setup for all cores, but not the routing of the signal
lines. The routing is stored in routing sets.
The commands within a sequencer program specify
•
– the sequencer operation (such as continue or wait for trigger)
– the sequencer reaction to a trigger signal
– waveform labels (arrays in the waveform memory of an analog
core)
– the number of initial data points to be discarded
The waveform memory is automatically partitioned according to
•
the defined waveform labels.
Waveform labels can be defined when creating a sequencer
•
program. They can also be defined and changed in size
independently from a sequencer program.
You can save up to 256 analog sets in one analog setup file on the
•
workstation.
The available hardware memory space for sequencer programs
•
and waveform data depends on the chosen analog module core.
For example: The sequencer memory of a High Speed Digitizer
can store up to 64 command lines. The waveform memory of this
module has a capacity of 512 K words.
