Lesson 5 – Waveform Generation with the Mixed-Signal Tool
How to Set the Operation and Output Values
Parameters
Whichever waveform generation tool you have chosen, each of
them will ask you how to interpret and what to do with the new
waveform:
Operation and Output Value Settings
To specify the use of the new waveform:
Choose
to replace the previously generated waveform by the

NEW
new waveform
– or –
click
to append the new waveform to the previously
APPEND
generated waveform
– or –
choose
to combine the previously generated waveform with
MATH
the new waveform.
The math operation (add, subtract, multiply, or divide) can start
at zero or at any other point position (entered in the P
the previously generated waveform.
The O

setting refers to the final waveform, that

means after any mathematical operation.
