Lesson 2 – Setting Up the Waveform Generator
To start the sequence program from the desired sequence line by
using the trigger signal, you must do the following actions:
Prepare a sequence program in the Sequencer Memory setup page
1
of the Analog Setup Tool:
Set the dummy data at the first line of the sequence program.
Where, you should use the HALT instruction to be paused the
dummy data generation just after it, and assign a sub-label
name that is used as the initial output waveform.
At the subsequent lines, set the sequence to generate the
desired waveform data by using the trigger signal.
Set the sequence program and sub-label in the Hardware Settings
2
page of the Analog Setup Tool:
Select the sequence program created by step 1 in the Sequence
Program field of the Sequencer/Timing Generator sub-panel, and
enter the sub-label assigned for the dummy data sequence into the
Sub Lable field. The execution of the sequencer program will then
be started from this sub-label.
Prepare the waveform data using the Mixed Signal Tool:
3
Create the desired waveform data to be applied to DUT.
Create the dummy data that consists of appropriate DC
waveform with the minimum allowable length (512 points); for
example, 0V DC data. This is used for generating the initial
output waveform from the AWG.
The following figure is an example for showing the relationship
between sequence settings and waveform generation.
