Lesson 2 – Creating a Test Method
Output on pass/output on fail (testsuite flags)
These testsuite flags determine whether the test suite returns an
overall pass and/or fail message. These flags must be set if the
output needs to be sent to the event datalog subsystem.
Use these flags according to your testing purpose.
Executing Test
There are several ways of executing a testflow. You can select the
most suitable way out of the following
Click the RUN push-button.
Double-click the START icon at the beginning of the testflow.
Right-click the START icon and select Execute All from the menu
that appears under the mouse pointer.
Select the execute all option in the File pull-down menu.
In the Test Flow Editor, you can directly execute one or more
testsuites individually. This is the popular choice for debugging.
The following are two such ways:
Highlight the particular testsuite(s) you want to execute. You can
select more than one testsuite (using shift + mouse click), but
remember that they must all be in the same hierarchical level.
Then, click on execute in the File pull-down menu.
Right-click a testsuite (if you want to execute more than one test
suite, highlight the last one with Shift and right-click) and select
Execute from the context-sensitive menu that appears under the
mouse pointer.
From the testsuite dialog box, you can execute the testmethod-
based testsuite. To do this, click the Execute button at the lower
right of that dialog.
