(14) Install Puller, Special Tool 6961, between
Adapter, Special Tool 6962, and the stud of the upper
ball j o i n t (Fig. 25). Hold hex portion of Puller, Special
Tool 6961, while t u r n i n g the bolt to apply pressure
against the stud of the upper ball j o i n t . Continue
applying pressure u n t i l the upper ball j o i n t stud sep-
arates from the steering knuckle.

(15) Remove the 2 bolts and nuts attaching the
rear upper control arm to the mounting brackets
(Fig. 26).
(16) Remove the control arm from the vehicle.
INSTALL
(1) Install the upper control a r m back into the
frame r a i l mounting brackets. I n s t a l l the upper con-
t r o l a r m pivot bolts as shown (Fig. 26). D O N O T
