REMOVAL
(1) D r a i n t h e cooling system. Refer to Group 7.
(2) Disconnect the - electrical connector from the
engine coolant temperature sensor.
(3) Remove the sensor.
I N S T A L L A T I O N
(1) I n s t a l l sensor. Tighten to 2 3 N - m (20 f t . lbs.)
torque.
(2) Connect electrical connector to sensor.
(3) F i l l cooling system. Refer to Group 7.
INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR
The intake air temperature sensor threads into the
passengers side of the a i r cleaner (Fig. 3 7 ) .

(1) Disconnect electrical connector from intake a i r
temperature sensor.
(2) Remove sensor.
INSTALLATION
(1) Install sensor. Tighten to 5 N - m (44 i n . lbs.)
torque.
(2) Connect electrical connector to sensor.
MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR
The M A P sensor is mounted on t h e drivers side of
the intake manifold (Fig. 38).

REMOVAL
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector from the
M A P sensor.
(2) Remove M A P sensor mounting screws.
(3) A vacuum hose on the bottom of the M A P sen-
sor connects to the sensor to a vacuum fitting on the
intake manifold plenum. P u l l M A P sensor a n d vac-
uum hose off of intake manifold.
INSTALLATION
(1) Reverse procedure for installation. Tighten
mounting screws to 2.6 N - m (23 i n . lbs.) torque.
THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
Refer to Group 14, Fuel Injection Section, for
Removal/Installation.
IGNITION SWITCH AND KEY CYLINDER
The ignition switch is located on the steering col-
umn. The Key-In-Switch is located i n the ignition
switch module. For diagnosis of the Key-In-Switch,
refer to Section 8 U .
